The internet rumour mill is working overtime, if it’s not about Microsoft or Sony’s next console effort, it’s about Nintendo’s next console, the Wii U. And the rumours are mostly about how much juice the aptly named Wii U can deliver? By what percentage (graphical/processing general eye candy) does it surpass current consoles? This much percent, that much percent, how much? But now the rumours are getting thicker and more juicy. So juicy that it’s been said, that the higher echelons of the Nintendo infrastructure/management team are contemplating a re-brand. Why?
Because it’s cheesy? Because those Nintendo mums and dads, the casual gamer might be confused? “We and You!” We play as a group, or you play on your own.
If this is true, should Nintendo run a poll, collate a few names (Wii HD, Wii 2, Nintendo Stream) then put it to the vote? Or should they leave well alone, and go with Wii U.
