Spells, spam and a really blatant scam!

World of Warcraft, I’m not going to try and tell you what it’s all about because I don’t rightly know and to be totally honest I’ve read some of the Wikipedia entry and don’t want ferociously correcting by an overzealous fan that happens to have six characters on the go, one which happens to be a level 80 Warlock if I misquote something small and virtually insignificant.
What I do I know is that World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role playing game that involves various races; it has some epic spells and some almighty sword fighting that sees a whole lot of in game character’s being maimed or killed outright and that can cost a whole lot of gold? I know a whole lot of people play it and it makes tons of money, month in, month out! It’s a proper cash cow, if you pardon the phrase.
I tried the 10 day trial which was recommended to me by a work colleague some years back and whose recent words of wisdom encouraged me to write this particular article about World of Warcraft email spamming.
For some time now the both of us have been getting various fake emails regarding More >
Violating my base!

Base raping! It’s a massive and very frustrating problem with Battlefield Bad Company 2, especially playing conquest and a map that I have particularly come to hate with a passion, Laguna Alta! If all the flags are in the enemies possession, then there’s only two words for it, your extremely @*!
It doesn’t matter what side your on, once the all the neutral bases are taken you can quickly find yourself pinned in because both main bases are nothing but poorly designed bottlenecks and every base raping whore will swoop down and participate in a mass turkey shoot! So you either, keep re-spawning and hope for the best or quit the game, which most do.
And why the +50 +10 head shot point accumulation in a main base? There should be no score for main base raping! Like in Battlefield 2, yes I’ve know I done it many times, back in my =B2K= clan days, but I would never use it to accumulate score and DICE, those Swedish legends shouldn’t allow it either. Hell I use to do it at the start of the game, on my own, like an action man! A hero, well that’s my excuse, like it or loath More >

So Operation Flashpoint Red River has just been announced! A sequel to last years somewhat rather notorious tactical shooter by race kings Codemasters. The past is the past, so we shall say. “Let bygones be bygones!”
The Dirt, Race Driver and F1: 2010 developers have a real uphill struggle to restore faith in a great deal of people and without focusing on the events of Dragon Rising and the £40 scars which are still smarting lets look at what Red River can offer. First of all we know that the game is due sometime in 2011 and the location for Codemasters second FPS outing is Tajikistan. A place steeped in bloody hard fought wars and mindless oppression. A rugged, mountainous country, with lush valleys to the north and south.

Blast test dummies!

It’s been awhile since I last shredded copious amounts cardboard! So in the tradition of all good First Person Shooters I got locked and loaded, took a few deep breaths before I contemplated taking on a few dummies and more. Advance Combat Training, Running Man!
This is the next slice in Zero Point Software’s forthcoming science fiction spectacular Interstellar Marines. So what do we think of this new slice? It’s fun, vast amounts of fun… even if I still can’t get used to playing with a mouse and keyboard. The dark side of gaming, the console has really taken its toll on my reflexes and playing preferences as a big fat juicy Xbox controller gripped feverishly in both hands seems vastly lacking.
Again it’s the ambience that first gets you, especially ” ITO AI SARA”; Terri “SHODAN” Brosius monolithic tones resonate brilliantly as do the gun sounds, both are frighteningly deep and meaningful, the clicking, the clunking of a hasty reload. The echoing of booted footsteps upon almost surgically clean corridors and grey suffused hangers as you dodge the robots, the yellow ones, the cyan ones!
Bullet, after bullet, robot after robot, the animations are just splendid, and just think this is all happening in More >
Is Bulletstorm the new Gears?

Bulletstorm is a brand new IP from People Can Fly, the Polish developers behind Painkiller and the PC version of Gears of War. In Bulletstorm the ultimate words to describe it would be over the top carnage, it’s simply kill your enemies with skill and be rewarded, anything goes, especially a good size 10 steel toe capped boot to the gonads!
The game is being published by EA Games and is due out 22/2/2011.
The question is? Have People Can Fly and Epic Games created something so manic, beautiful and damn right entertaining that it may not only rival the Gears of War franchise, but may quite simply better it all over!
