There’s a lot of chat/overzealous gossip lately regarding Sony and Microsoft’s next console effort (insert names here). I’m not going to get into the chat/overzealous gossip elements that much right now, because we all know how they end, in a heated fanboy/fangirl argument, but that’s what drives website hits. Especially else where.

What I would like to get into, is? Do we need the next generation of console right now. The next Xbox and PlayStation, or does this generation of console. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 have more to offer for the immediate future?

Rumour. Nintendo contemplating Wii U name change… But should they?

The internet rumour mill is working overtime, if it’s not about Microsoft or Sony’s next console effort, it’s about Nintendo’s next console, the Wii U. And the rumours are mostly about how much juice the aptly named Wii U can deliver? By what percentage (graphical/processing general eye candy) does it surpass current consoles? This much percent, that much percent, how much? But now the rumours are getting thicker and more juicy. So juicy that it’s been said, that the higher echelons of the Nintendo infrastructure/management team are contemplating a re-brand. Why?

2012, first of all. We are NOT going to mention the crappy Roland Emmerich disaster flick, starring John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet, Oliver Platt, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover and Woody Harrelson, oh how their film careers have taken a nose dive straight into the Pacific Ocean.

We are also not going to get into Nostradamus predictions or revelations, and why some crazy American “Preppers”, are prepping, hoarding food, water and copious amounts of M4 carbine, 5.56mm ammunition for the end of the world, be it financial meltdown or a solar cluster “F” up that leads to world More >

 

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The day PC gaming died?

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Canned on PC due to piracy! Ubisoft’s free-to-play First Person Shooter Ghost Recon: Online will be available instead. Ghost Recon: Future Solider is now a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title for now. I’m sure somewhere down the line it will appear on the eagerly awaited Wii U.

But what about cloud gaming, what about OnLive? Surely this could be a real opportunity for the Tom Clancy franchise and Ubisoft, after all Splinter Cell: Conviction is on the OnLive platform, convert/port GR: Future Soldier onto the platform, in my honest opinion it would be a massive winner More >
